What’s On at The Malt Shovel Tavern

Live Blues

Every Wednesday night, the sound of live blues fills the Malt Shovel Tavern. Bands come from near and far as we try to find the best to entertain you. Gigs start at 8.45pm and admission is free.

Eat, drink & be merry!

We eat well at The Malt Shovel Tavern. We don't have a regular evening menu, it's true, but twice a month we have special foodie nights to delight your taste buds. Our Curry Club is perfect if you like things spicy, while our Good Grub evenings aim to put a twist on popular favourites.

For the love of sport!

Ok, so we're not a sports bar, but we do love our sport, especially our local and national teams. You'll find the big occasions on our big screen, so watch the calendar, get a group of mates together and ask about our Sports Party Packages!

Quiz Night

Test your general and trivia knowledge at The Malt Shovel Tavern. We run two quizzes a month on the first and third Thursday at 8pm. Maximum team size is 8 players and entry is £1 per player. There are cash prizes for the winners.
