We eat well at The Malt Shovel Tavern. We don't have a regular evening menu, it's true, but twice a month we have special foodie nights to delight your taste buds. Our Curry Club is perfect if you like things spicy, while our Good Grub evenings aim to put a twist on popular favourites.

Ok, so we're not a sports bar, but we do love our sport, especially our local and national teams. You'll find the big occasions on our big screen, so watch the calendar, get a group of mates together and ask about our Sports Party Packages!
Test your general and trivia knowledge at The Malt Shovel Tavern. We run two quizzes a month on the first and third Thursday at 8pm. Maximum team size is 8 players and entry is £1 per player. There are cash prizes for the winners.
To celebrate National wine day we are holding a wine tasting evening with a sommelier. Your ticket will include samples of 9 different wines along with informative tastes notes on each and a choice of a cheese, Antipasti or Asian inspired platter to enjoy with your wine.
Great excuse to get friends and family together for a catch up! This event can be attended anytime between 6.45pm & 9pm when our sommelier will be here to help you enjoy your evening.
